What these verses mean
Revelation 21:8 is a serious warning. It says that unbelief and unrepentant sin have eternal consequences: separation from God forever, which Scripture calls “the second death.” Notice that the list doesn’t stop with notorious crimes. It begins with “the fearful, and unbelieving” and ends with “all liars.” Measured honestly, that includes every one of us, because “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
In Matthew 7:21-23, Yeshua warns that even impressive religious activity can’t open Heaven’s door. The people He describes pointed to their own works: “have we not prophesied… cast out devils… done many wonderful works?” Yet His answer was, “I never knew you.” What matters is not what we have done for God, but whether we truly know Him and have trusted Him.
That is why no one can get to Heaven on their own. The good news is that you don’t have to.
The way God has made
The Messianic faith presented on HeavenTok teaches what the whole Bible teaches: salvation comes through Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah. He died for our sins and rose again on the third day, and He offers eternal life as a free gift to everyone who turns from sin and trusts Him.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”John 14:6 (KJV)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
The same chapter that contains the warning of Revelation 21:8 also holds out an open invitation, just two verses earlier:
“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”Revelation 21:6 (KJV)
