God's promised future

The Promise of the New Heaven and New Earth

Radiant light pours from an opened sky as a shining golden city descends toward a renewed earth of mountains, a clear river, gardens and trees

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.”

Isaiah 65:17 (KJV)

Not an escape from creation, but creation made new

Through the prophet Isaiah, God promised to create new heavens and a new earth. At the end of the Bible, the apostle John saw that promise unveiled: a renewed creation, and the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven.

The heart of the promise is not only a beautiful place, but God Himself living with His people forever, with no more death, sorrow or pain.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”Revelation 21:1-2 (KJV)
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”2 Peter 3:13 (KJV)

The heart of it all

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”John 3:16 (KJV)
The answer

The door to the Kingdom is open

  2. Repent Turn from sin and turn to God as your King.
  3. Believe that Yeshua died for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead.
  4. Confess Him openly as your Lord, and begin following Him.
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”Mark 1:15 (KJV)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”Romans 10:9 (KJV)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
